OYA Beach Resort is located in the coastal village of Anissaras, a peaceful area on Crete’s northern shore, about 3 kilometers west of Hersonissos. Anissaras is known for its idyllic beaches and crystal-clear waters.

The village offers an authentic atmosphere with traditional tavernas that provide a glimpse into Cretan culture and hospitality. The vibrant town of Hersonissos —famous for its diverse shopping options, restaurants, and bars — is just a short drive away.

Old Hersonissos is also nearby and a complete change of scenery and atmosphere from the bars and beaches along the coastal strip of Hersonissos. It is a small, picturesque village with old stone houses, charming streets, and squares featuring several Orthodox churches. You’ll find some tavernas and small shops here. Old Hersonissos is one of three mountain villages located above the coastal town of Hersonissos.
